Stunted
À travers ce projet en cours, j'ai voulu explorer la période toujours fugace où l'enfance s'achève et où la féminité commence. Certes, mon expérience a été retardée et reste à ce jour inachevée, d'où le nom de "retardée". Une personne dont la croissance est empêchée, dans mon cas par une société dans laquelle elle ne s'intègre pas et par un traumatisme générationnel qu'elle ne semble pas pouvoir comprendre. Vous ne pouvez pas comprendre les conditions de la féminité ou les limites de la féminité, de toute façon infantilisée, non autonome, victime à jamais des conditions. Cette série inachevée vise à démêler ces émotions et ces conflits.
Stunted
Through this ongoing project, I wanted to explore the ever fleeting time where girlhood ends and womanhood begins. Granted, my experience was delayed and is still to this day unfinished, hence the name stunted. A person who's growth is being prevented, in my case by a society she doesnt fit into and generational trauma she can't seem to understand. You cannot fathom the conditions of womanhood or the limits of girlhood, either way infantilized, not autonomous, a forever casualty of conditions. And this unfinished series aims to unravel these emotions and conflicts.
