Steel City
Loubna a commencé "Steel City" à Sheffield, où elle a vécu pendant ses études. Attirée par ses scènes multiculturelles et colorées, elle s'est intéressée au contraste entre ce que la ville est devenue au fil du temps et les vestiges de son passé industriel.
La création d'une série à partir de ces clichés isolés était l'un de ses principaux défis à la fin du programme, mais grâce aux commentaires reçus, elle a compris que construire une série autour d'une seule couleur était limitatif et qu'il existait d'autres façons de procéder, en suivant son instinct et en gardant à l'esprit le message qu'elle souhaitait faire passer à travers son travail.
Steel City
Loubna started ‘Steel City’ in Sheffield as she lived there for her studies. Drawn to its multi-cultural and colorful scenes she was interested in the contrast between what the city has become over time and the remnants of its industrial past.
Making a series out of these isolated shots was one of her main challenges at the end of the programme but with feedback she understood that building a series around one color was limiting and that there were other ways to do so, following her instinct and bearing in mind the message she wanted to convey through her work.
